RKB is a Swiss technological bearing manufacturing company specialized in medium and large size bearings. RKB is globally known as the alternative power in the bearing industry. www.rkbbearings.com. RKB started its liaison office in Pakistan in May 2018 and currently operating with multiple partners & distributors across the country for the sale of all kinds of bearing products in Pakistan.

• He is responsible for company’s operations in Pakistan with full P&L accountability, strategic growth & expansion plans, business re-alignment & distributor development.
• Khurram has played an important role from starting new office of RKB in Pakistan and then establishing local business setup from scratch to having multiple distributors and agent companies across the country to expand its sales network.
• Khurram is responsible for the overall sales of the company through channel development & management to create business eco-system is Pakistan for sustainable business growth.
• Khurram is directly reporting to the International Sales Director at RKB headquarters in Switzerland for sales performance and overall company’s working structure in Pakistan.

He also organizes annual sales meeting with all partners and distributors in RKB Switzerland headquarters on yearly basis to track performance and offer incentives and allocate new targets.

• Khurram has been instrumental in selecting the right partners, recruiting them and then to developing them as reliable long term strategic distributors of the company to promote RKB’s products in Pakistan.
• Khurram is responsible to develop and train sales staff of distributors to help them to grow with RKB.
• He is responsible for designing, developing and managing the distributor territorial allocation and their yearly sales targets.
• Organizing & executing joint customer visits with partners/distributors to create brand awareness and increase market penetration.
• Organizing & managing quarterly and annual distributor meetings within Pakistan to track the sales performance and to create a synergy for better working culture.

• Khurram is a very well-known professional having a very deep knowledge of rolling bearing technology in Pakistan who actively conducts technical training seminars for customers on RKB Bearing Products to create brand awareness and support pre-sales activities.
• He is responsible for providing complete technical solutions to RKB’s customers in Pakistan starting from selecting the right product and then using, installing it correctly and being able to find the primary root cause of the failure in case of any damages at a later stage.
• He is also capable of providing technical consulting to end users about modification, up-gradation and improvement needed in the industrial applications with respect to increasing the overall performance and rates service life of bearing products.
• He is dedicatedly involved in conducting technical training sessions at customer sites for their engineering teams to develop.

• Khurram is responsible for planning and organizing RKB’s participation in all industrial expos held in Pakistan throughout the year to represent RKB brand to create brand awareness at larger scale.

SKF is manufacturer of products, solutions and services including; Bearings, Seals, Mechatronics, Services and Lubricants & Lubrication systems since 1907 worldwide.

• During my working tenure with SKF, I was mainly responsible to providing technical support to SKF industrial distributors & to the end user clients in coordination with sales team. Technical support means;
  1. Guidelines from selecting the right product to using & installing it correctly and to find the primary root cause of the failure in case if there is any failure or damages at the end of the day.
  2. Troubleshooting technical problems related to the performance and operation of the product.
  3. Providing technical literatures related to the end user’s queries.
  4. Providing guidelines to the customers and end users how to use the product to get the maximum benefit from the rated service life.
• As a part of my job I was responsible to conduct and execute onsite technical meetings, understand, know machines and develop customized solutions for demanding applications with focus on improving rotating machine reliability.
• Proposing design improvements, value proposition and coordinate implementation of solution to the application & reliability engineering team of the end customers.
• Providing technical support for SKF product portfolio through bearing application engineering and technical solutions.
• Training & development of SKF distributor’s sales staff for better solution-oriented sales.
• As a faculty-member of SKF reliability maintenance institute, I have been conducting following training courses to our industrial clients across Pakistan.

• Presented a Paper entitled “SKF – Feel for the Steel” at 2^nd Iron & Steel Conference held on August 9, 2010 at Pearl Continental hotel in Lahore.
• My article entitled “Strengthening Iron & Steel Industry; Pathway to Economic Prosperity” was published in the special souvenir of 2^nd Iron & Steel conference held on August 9, 2010 in Lahore.
• Performed as a conference moderator in 2^nd Iron & Steel Conference held on August 9, 2010 in Lahore.
• My article entitled “Creating a Safety Culture” was published in the souvenir of Piping, Pipeline & Integrity Management conference held on February 8, 2011 in Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore.
• Successfully performed as a Conference Moderator in Pipeline, Piping & Integrity Management conference on February 8, 2011 in Lahore.
• I have successfully completed 38 training courses offered by SKF about product knowledge.

JUL, 2006 – AUG, 2009
TSML is Pakistan’s first private-sector integrated steel manufacturing project of Al-Tuwairqi Holding, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. TSML is Pakistan’s very first DRI plant with the capacity to produce 1.28 million tons of high-quality Directly Reduced Iron.

• I was working as a part of the project team directly reporting to the General Manager – Projects and was given the task to design and develop the feasibility report for steel melting shop p
• I was heading to the team under the guidance of the General Manager – Projects who developed basic plant designing, layouts and action plan to monitor civil activities at initial stage of the steel melting shop plant construction.
• I was the team uncharged to conduct successful technical evaluation & finalization of equipment including; Induction Furnace, EAF, LRF, Continues Caster, Ladle Car, Bucket Car, Ladles, Alloy Feeding System, Scrap Charging System, Over Head Cranes and Water Complex Equipment.
• I was able to successfully manage all project construction related activities as an “acting project manager”.
• I developed & implemented health & safety environment procedures for employees, material and machines at plant site during those project phases.
• Actively contributed technical & managerial inputs to the management regarding ongoing activities during plant construction.

2000 – 2006
Mughal steel is always a leading and a large steel manufacturing group in Pakistan; operating Steel Melt shop, Ferro Alloy Plant, Cold Rolling Mills, Hot Rolling Mills, Bar Mill, Power Plant.

• Responsible for the successful operation, production and maintenance of the Billet Caster Plant.
• I used to manage forty-five staff workers in my supervision.
• I developed and improved the maintenance techniques and operational reliability of the plant.
• Successfully achieved different production targets and resolved issues related to the quality.
• Conducted successfully In-House Technical Training for Plant Production & Maintenance Team.
• Managed effectively Erection work of Induction Furnace Project (12MT).
